I think Ranta gets sent down and dropped on the Eagles top line with Bowers and Kaut, and I can’t state enough how much I dislike MacDermind on this team, slow bad at defense such an awful fit.

I feel like they're going to swap macdermid to forward since he's so bad at defense.. or they are going to rotate through 5 dmen and play him like 8mins a night

He'll probably not play very often, and only get into the lineup if and when Bednar wants to use him for some revenge. At least one would hope that he won't play regularly.

Well according to bednars presser in training camp he said he's only going to be effective when in the lineup... so I'm guessing he'll be in the lineup

Being effective only in the lineup doesn't mean that he has to play every game.

I don’t disagree with that but he sucks all around, not a good move by Sakic considering they could have probably just claimed him off waivers at some point.

Colorado are 32nd in the waiver order so chances are that someone else would have picked up MacDermid first. Either way though a 4th for him wasn't great value. Sakic could have waited to see if he passed through waivers and THEN pay a 4th so as to not have to carry him on the active roster all season.
