Sabres pass. That's below their asking price, and frankly below a reasonable asking price. Eichel is a generational talent and is top 15 when healthy.

As a Red Wings fan, hard pass on Eichel.

Maybe Zadina won’t be all that, and you’d think this might be a playoff team so the 1st will be later than 15th, but Eichel is too risky of a player. Even if he’s okay, will he rebound to being elite like he was? Tough to say.

I'd give up that for Eichel too bad that is no where near his value.

😳

The injury analysis of Eichel is going off the rails

His injury is still classified as minor by doctors

Some risk of maybe worse... here's a full breakdown:

So true. In reality he just has a neck that causes him some pain. If he is rehabbing with physio and maybe some meds, he could definitely lessen the symptoms alot. If that's not enough then a surgery could be looked at. Brother Jack seems to want to skip the conservative and effective approach and jump straight off the deep end into unnecessary risk land

I try not too even click on these when I see Buffalo as a team traded with because I know it's going too involve Eichel and I know there's going to be some neck beard saying "Too much for a broken Eichel" when the trade is literally a 7th rounder for him. I seen a guy say eichel has a broken neck and may never play again. Like you said, his neck hurts. Not broken. Not really even a big deal a minor surgery won't fix. I hope Buffalo doesn't move on the price. People say that sabres fans are going too be surprised on how little they get but I KNOW it's going too be the compete opposite. About half the league is still in on Eichel. He WILL fetch atleast 3 GOOD first round equivalents.

He does not have a broken neck.
This is not a career ending injury.
Let's remember, he skated off of the ice with out assistance.
Rest, rehabilitation and medication is the recommended first treatment.
I have seen other sites that essentially report the same information, one major difference, the sites I found indicated that 95% of the people with herniated neck disks need ONLY rest, rehabilitation and medication. The site you posted believes that is closer to 99%.
I do not think any team will give up a prospect who has a ceiling similar to Jack, but the Sabres WILL get two good prospects, two good picks and a player to balance the cap.
Or some combination maybe a young roster player, good prospect, good pick and a player to balance the cap.

EDIT:
The article states he was injured on March 7th, his last game.
I noticed from the first game of the season he was not skating as he did last year.
I did not want to speculate why, but he may have injured his neck long before the Islander game.
