Are you suggesting the Blues send Tarasenko to SJ along with a 1st? For nothing?

A first might be too much but he has negative value to us

Tarasenko is not worth a lottery pick. I wouldn't even pay a 2nd for the often injured Tarasenko.

I'm not defending the original trade proposal. But suggesting the Blues give him to you along with a 1st for nothing is nonsense. I assume OP chose their words poorly.

A 2nd is the max you should give up for him as we don't want another Ottawa situation where they get a top 5 or even a top 3 pick and can run away with a supertalent that you would really need. Also Blues should retain 2.5m on Tarasenko. Then he will hopefully bounce back to at the very least a 25 goal form and then you trade him at the TD with 2.5m retained for a 1st to a contender. Then it makes sense. Sharks will be a bottom feeder especially without Kane. He might be an awful human being but he is a damn talented man that can score 30 goals and be a 60-65 point player

Doug Armstrong doesn't make very many trades that he doesn't clearly win. He certainly isn't going to trade Tarasenko AND a pick to a Western Conference team just to trade him. If he was just going to dump him for zero value he would've done it already this offseason.
