Bowers hasn't even shown to be an NHLer yet, it's really premature to pencil him in as a 3rd liner. Adding him and Eakin doesn't really improve the bottom 6.

Eakin, Cody 1 $2,000,000 ---- not a great signing at all.
Helm, Darren 1 $1,000,000 --- he'll be 35 next season, so let's wait and see.
MacDermid, Kurtis 1 $900,000 --- too much AAV

Detroit has zero interest in Compher. Pass.

No point to bringing in helm or eakins, i think with the way of players like ranta and olausson have performed this pre season they will be on the big club next year, and if kaut doesn't make it at some point this year or next you can pretty much bank on him being traded out.
