I've seen lots of rosters with this line as the 3rd line, thought it could impact his ice time.

He was putting those numbers up in “3rd” line minutes last year.

Honestly not a bad effort if the Wild aren’t your main team. But 6th in the central? Ouch. It could certainly happen, but I think we’re slightly better than that.

Sturm I don’t see breaking out. I know that’s a trendy take and a lot of ppl would agree with you, but I’m not quite there with him.

Sturm is 27 and a bottom 6C at his best. People are confusing NHL time with development status with him, I’d bank on him getting 30 some points and improving his defensive play before he is traded at the deadline.

All of the centres, not named Joel, are past the development status and could all potentially prove better with a 2nd line role and "breakout" (not Rask). Hartman 27, Gaudreau 28, Rask 28 and Sturm 27, I'd say Sturm could end up the most well rounded between them at the end of the season. I'd personally like to see him on a line with Fiala.

I could “breakout” playing next to Fiala. None of the breakout is due to the player’s skill, rather their deployment. That’s why you play Rask there, it’s where he provides the most benefit to the team.
