We won’t take a Top 3 protected 1st in ‘23
A top 3 Protected in ‘22 is fine but in ‘23 loses way to much value.

If the the ‘23 pick ended up in the Top 3 we’d have to wait until 2024 for that 1st and aside from a top 5 pick the Sabres would be looking at 2027 as a likely date for that player’s arrival. That’s quite frankly absurd.

Or even later.
Look how long it has taken Nylander, Mittelstadt, Cozens to produce.
The pick has to be 2022 or why trade Jack.
