Chicago has a surplus of fowards, and the odd men out is Strome and Nylander. Strome had a solid preseason and he improved his game at the dot and looked solid with Dach and Borgstrom tonight . But Chicago needs a defensemen espically with Kalynuk and C.Jones being out for the first few weeks of the season. Also with Strome gone Borgstrom or Gaudette could replace him easily in the lineup.
Nylander is waiver bound and Chicago should try to get something for him before they're forced to put him on waiver because of the cap situation hopefully the Hawks could get a pick or a young depth foward (Christian fischer comes to mind in a Nylander trade).
