The main difference is Weber is a dead contract and Price is on personal leave ( so dead contract until he comes back ). Nothing we can do except place them on LTIR/IR, and no one had should have a problem with dead contracts being on LTIR, I think the main complaint people had, was that Kuch appeared to be healthy before the playoffs started, not that Nilsson and Gaborik were on LTIR

Appeared is the key word on the sentence there . Both Gourde and Point in consecutive prior off seasons were 3 months from surgery to skating and 2 months from skating to playing just like Kucherov. So everyone knows better than Kich's the team and league doctors? A lot of people did complain about Gaborik and Nilsson too.

Complaining about Gaborik and Nilsson is downright stupid but i can see some parts of complaining about Kuch, seeing Kuch skate and seeming to be fine, while still on LTIR doesn't help the view of the public.

Both cups were legit, anyone complaining is the #2 bulls#!t, #1 being the Vez winner of course. No one complains when the leafs are 14M over and get knocked out in the 1st round. 🤷🏻‍♂️

You're right. They used the system to their advantage. It was within the rules.
It's the rules that are the issue. Not Tampa (or anyone else copying that strategy).

So if Montreal is able to pick up, say Hertl, Giordano, and Forsberg (not realistic, just an example), then they bring back Price and Weber for the playoffs, it will still be "legit".
The rules however, will still be an issue.

The rules state..that only player that is "unable to play" for medically reasons can be put on LTIR. Kutch's situation kinda stinks for the league.
But why would anyone complain about Gaborik? The only reason he was included in a trade, was because he was not fully insured when on LTIR. So Sens ownership saved actual $$$$ by trading for him but Gaborik did not affected the cap of Tampa whether he was their property or the Sens

Take out Webers 7.8 contract, who may never play an NHL game again, our fully healthy roster is cap compliant by 380k you know that right. Kuhle/Poehling/Montembeault/Belzile all on waivers/sent to minors replace them with Edmonson/Niku/Hoffman/Byron/Price. not sure why you think this situation is the same.

Big difference between skating alone ripping 1timers compared to playing and taking cross checks in an NHL GAME
