I don't feel like Maroon is leaving anytime soon though. He's still an ideal person for a 4th line role and his play style is one that should age fairly well as long as he remains committed to conditioning. Maroon and Fortier would make good 4th line wings in my opinion once Perry is gone.

This comment just makes me wish Perry was gone after this season even more. The thing I'm thinking is that with the young guys proving they're in the lineup in the future, younger guys coming up (Fortier, Ryfors, etc.), and Perry and Bellemare under contract next year I'm not sure Maroon will be back. I think it's more likely he's back then not, but it's certainly a possibility.

Perry's contract can get buried if need be next season. Depending on whether or not (or how cheap) so Palat signs next year kinda affects everything.

Blueline is signed through next year, I imagine they take the patience route with Thompson. Vasy will need a jman backup. Hopefully they young guys really step up also we don't have more Perry-esc signings.

I don't know how realistic it is that they bury Perry's contract when they gave him a NTC, but that is certainly my favored scenario

Yeah I'm in Tampa, so I've never had reason to get ESPN+. Its not an issue, I'll be watching, just an inconvenience. No way I'm missing Fortier's debut.
