Sean Day is one of the few who have been given "Exceptional Status" to play in the CHL before he was of age. He's also probably the biggest bust to have been given that exemption.

However, he's been pretty good for Syracuse this year. Liability on defense, but he's got some nice talents on offense.

Nothing like Elliott in net to temper the expectations.

Solid game, the 3rd period being by far the best. The offense was clicking nicely, especially as the game wore on, the D played well, and even Elliott managed to not impersonate Curtis McElhinney that much-if not for that late meaningless goal, he would've had a GAA of 2.00. Overall, well-played game, especially for Stamkos, Palat and Point (good to see the Top 6 back at it again after Thursday), and the only real point of concern is that they NEED to stop taking so many penalties (4), even if the PK unit bailed 'em out yet again (4/4). Next up: Canes in Amalie on Tuesday.
