2. How did Palat not score?

3. Great play by Joseph

4. PP is still bad

5. Pretty sure that Cernak didn't play that whole period and the commentators didn't notice at all

Why are we always coming out on the short end of calls when teams push our forwards into their own goalie?!

idk about the one against Ottawa (refs might of had it), but the one tonight was a terrible call

It's not just this season, it's going back the past 2 cup runs. The only thing consistent with the refs calls is that it's always our fault.

I'm done stewing over all that crap now. As for some rational thoughts:

All-in-all I think it was a good game for us. A lot of the shot total discrepancy was because of how abysmal our PP is without Kuch.

The fourth line isn't getting it done statistically on the scoreboard or in the advanced stats, so I want to see Katchouk inserted asap when he's healthy to change things up.

Also, Foote played 16 minutes tonight after Cernak left early. I thought he looked ok all things considered.

Cernak out for a bit. Time to see what Foote really has.

We might as well play our normal 3 forward - 2 defenseman lines on the power play going forward.

I think we just need a not Carolina's PK. if it doesn't work in the next 2 days then change it up.

Wow, do the Lightning ever need Kuch back. He just can't be replaced offensively. Not to mention that the PP is abysmal without him, they've scored 2 goals in about 20 chances since he's gotten hurt. 18 SOG in 60+ minutes isn't going to win you a lot of games. They can't keep relying on Vasi to bail them out every night.
Also, not so fun stat of the week: the Lightning did not lose a single game last regular season in which they led entering the 3rd period. They've now lost 2 in less than a week.
Also, why do the refs hate them so much?
