Is that *double checks stat sheet* an above .900 save percentage for a Lightning backup goalie?

When was the last time that happened? Louis Domingue?

You know your team was elite when Louis Domingue can go 21-5 with a .908%. The 2019 regular season was something special.

Also, I just got to say I am glad Katchouk and Raddysh are not making a fool of me after I said they were ready last season

If they had Gourde in-between them (no offense Colton), they would be even better.

Well, that was about as much fun as the Lightning will get all year. What a game for Brian Elliott-38 of 39 stopped, I was worried he'd be another McElhinney but he's been shockingly solid and had a huge game tonight. So much more relaxing to give Vasi a night off when you can get solid tending in net. Perry had a terrific game (even though both of his goals were a bit fluky), as did McDonagh, Colton, Raddysh, Katchouk, and Hedman (who has been red-hot lately). Terrific win, great start to this road trip. Let's hope they keep it going Tuesday against the Habs.

Like it was stated earlier I'd love to see them with Gourde, but that will most likely never happen.

BB was reassigned to Syracuse while Fortier remains on the Lightning.

And now we claim Nash off of waivers. I'm confused.

Put him on waivers and keep him in case of injuries because they don't trust Somppi, Hudon, etc.?

Nash is a pretty sneaky good pick up IMO. Might mean Fort Gabe gets sent down sooner but still.

So, when do we start calling Raddysh "Horse". As in horseradish? Then we need to find some kind of similar name for Katchouk and all a sudden we have a very "stable" third line with Horse, Colt and (insert Bo name here)

I'll see myself out.

Nash is an excellent 4th line centre, similar to Bellemare in the sense that they are terrific defensively and have been offensive black holes for most of their careers.

ABB may be better off in the AHL anyways, allow him to play in the top 6 and get a large amount of minutes.

Paul Kennedy has officially renamed the Bellemare line (at least to me).

They all get better with age, so they are the...
drumroll please

Did not think we'd win that one in regulation.

Yeah. Let's chalk that up to a "good teams find a way to win" and move on. :-D I've seen close defeats you can take more away from than that.

Leafs Thursday get excited.

No point in waisting all that energy when you can win in the last 2:00 tears of joy

That was a weird game. Good 1st period and horrendous 2nd period followed by what to me was a very good 3rd period-they dominated in terms of possession and had tons of chances, Allen kept bailing the Habs out until Perry finally broke through on that terrific pass by Stamkos (BTW, Killorn got away with holding Chiarot's stick to allow the pass to get through), and Palat made that gorgeous move on the pass from Killorn to win it. It was definitely an off-night overall though, they've got to be sharper than that Thursday against the Leafs.

Might have to play Hedman at forward here soon if the injuries to the offense don't stop.
