Saw a post on Bleacher Report saying the game against the Avs on Saturday may be getting postponed. Was only a matter of time before this affected our schedule.

Ah, darn, it would be huge playing the Avs without Kuemper, not to mention Toews, Compher and Burakovsky.

And...it's official. Lightning-Avalanche postponed.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I'm pretty sure last night when we "pulled" Vasy for 3 seconds it was the first time we've pulled our goalie mid game in years. I know we didn't do it during Mcelhinney's tenure.

Pretty impressive thing to do. Also means Coop always keeps the tender in for the duration of the game, regardless of score.

Finally getting a chance to chime in: That honestly might've been my favorite win of the season so far. Despite Fortier's fantastic 1st NHL goal, Lightning were getting sliced and diced with stretch passes and terrific zone entries by the Golden Knights for the first half of the second period, Vasi had to do all he could to keep them in it, and it was 3-1 with 5 minutes left before the 2nd intermission.

And then the Fine Wine Line gets things going yet again with a goal from PEB, Cirelli ties it 43 seconds later, and it's 3-3 after 40 minutes. A HUGE kill at the beginning of the 3rd, and then STAMMER TIME with an absolute bullet from his office at the top of the dot, 4-3 Lightning. Vasi stops Stephenson with a TERRIFIC save on a breakaway, shuts down Vegas with the 6th attacker on, and it's over.

Every single line chipped in for this one, and it's specifically BECAUSE they were getting sliced apart early that makes this win all the more impressive. What a terrific way to hit the break.

And can we take a moment to appreciate that with Pointer out for a month and Kuch out for 2, the Lightning are STILL first in the league at the break? Incredible. #Let'sGoLightning

Bolts are in a similar position to what they were last year. They've put together a solid lineup and will add 2 top 6 forwards to the group between now and the playoffs. Not only that but with the Olympics cancelled Vasy is going to actually get some rest. Happy holidays indeed
