It's going to be an interesting game to watch, that's for sure.

I would say that the Lightning are in trouble tonight, but looking at the lines for each teams the Lightning's lines are significantly better as long as Lagace doesn't totally screw up.

All (2) the articles I've read said that Miftakhov didn't even get called up, the other goalie was Alnefelt.

I'm perplexed as to why Alnefelt got the nod, unless Miftakhov has COVID. I keep going back to that I think internal forces within the organization are viewing him as too big to fail.

On another note, both goalies have been pretty good tonight, Lagace has made several tough stops and Monetembeault's stopped at least 3 breakaways (and also made a bunch of saves during the double minor near the end of the 2nd).

What an insane game.
-All 4 goals scored by the Habs tonight were the 1sts of the season for each player (Vejdemo, Harvey-Pinard (1st of his career), Clague, and Savard).
-So good to have Pointer back, he had 2 goals plus the assist on Perry's 6th attacker goal.
-The Lightning rang 3 posts and 2 crossbars tonight. (Hedman, Perry, Palat each with 1, and Point had 2)
-Both goalies were actually pretty solid, Lagace made several tough stops (his breakaway save on Evans late kept the game alive) and Montembeault was terrific, he made multiple terrific saves on Katchouk and Point, and without him the Canadiens never would've been in it, his D did him no favors though, especially at the end.
-In 2 games against the Habs this year, Corey Perry has 2 6th-attacker goals to tie the game late. Lightning have 5 6th attacker goals that have tied the game late this year (not counting delayed penalties).
-Lightning have won 6 straight on home ice.
What a terrific win.

YES. This means Vasi could be back as soon as tomorrow, and Friday if not then (assuming he's asymptomatic, which earlier reports indicated he was)

You always know that you're getting lots of chances if you hit the post 5 times and you still get 5 goals.

It's not like Lagace was glaringly bad , but it's another game that reminds us that our defense isn't all that great, Vasy is.

Yep. It's been the case for awhile. Vasy being good has destroyed the reputation for every backup to wear a Tampa uniform for the past few years. He covers up so many issues when a human is in net they look terrible.

OK, some good news, and some bad news. (Also, nothing about Vasi, which might indicate that Legace is starting again)

This likely means Darren Raddysh makes his NHL debut. (Also means Katchouk might have to play RW on the Stammer line, unless they decide to put Perry there and shift Maroon to RW, which he's done before)
