Initial Creation Date: Oct. 10, 2021

Salary Cap Mode: Basic
Description
Rangers go all out and pay a high price to get Eichel while having the Sabres retain a portion of his contract contract.. Eichel trade is made at the beginning of the 2021-22, Rangers allow Eichel to get surgery and keeps him out for a good portion of the season. They trade Strome at the deadline to recoup some assets from the Eichel trade and move Eichel into his position.

Get Fox to take a small discount at 8.5 and offer Trouba to waive his NMC and get traded with some retention or to get bought out. Can't think of team that would want him so I opted to buy him out. While the next off season will be hard to fit everyone under the cap, the team is set for years.

Minnesota will never give up that high of a pick. That has been clear. Also Marco Rossi will be ready by then. So no from Minnesota

No interest from NSH there— but some team might.

No freaking way is Adam Fox signing that cheaply, You're easily looking at 8x11 for Fox not that lowball offer.

I love Rossi but I think there's 0 certainty there

Also key to not rush him after this whole saga

Very unique situation

Might be 8x15 even. He’s clearly the best player in the world. But on a serious note, he only wants to play there and wants to win there. He is likely taking a heavy discount in MacK fashion

Buffalo is not retaining a dime of that contract for 5 years unless they get everything they ask for and more.

8 X 8.5 is a lowball
8X11 might match his current worth- but will leave him with minimal options at 33/33 yo
5X 8.5 is the perfect fit...NYR get a hometown disc for a few years...Fox (while leaving immediate $ on the table) lives his dream...while not destroying the NYR salary structure...and if all goes according to plan- he still has a BIG contract to sign at 29 YO...which will happen after the CAP goes up considerably from where it is now.
