Monahan has a modified no trade clause. If the Sabres are not on Monahan's list of teams he would consider being traded do, then the Sabres would not pursue Monahan.

What are the long term projections for Dubé, Zary, and Wolf?

I doubt the Sabres need a quantity of assets if they focus on acquiring two or three quality players that can make a quick and productive impact to win sooner and often.

Win sooner? They're trading away a franchise centre and have a $9 million 3rd line offensive winger tied up for 6 more seasons. At least flipping Monahan can provide even more value.

Do the Sabres have a 1C after Eichel? Not yet. Do they need one? Yes.

Is Jeff Skinner a 3W? No. He is a 1W.
