Best Trade option to move on from Brady

Description

Holtz is a great pure goal scorer, with a shot similar to Ovi. He does need to develop his 2-way game and gain some strength for the NHL hence why he probably got send down to the AHL today.

Formenton is also shown that he belongs in a top 6 role and looks really good with Batherson and Norris. Another thing this trade does is help even up the players that are Right shot vs Left shot for the Sens top 6 in the long term. Stuzle - Pinto - Holtz would not start right away together but honestly they would balance out as a great line and would most likely become the first line in time.
Also, a Chabot - Holtz PP1 D pairing would be elite for a long time.

I am not sure if the Devils would take this as a one-for-one trade, but that is why I mentioned if it needs to be a sign and trade or Sens need to add a pick to make this happen I would be fine with that.

I was hoping he would have been available for the sens with the pick they used on Sanderson at the time.

When White gets Healthy then Paul - White - C Brown becomes a very solid 3rd third line, and Tierney is expendable to get something better or as a 4C to help bring in players like Sokolov and Greig until more Players come off ELC's.

This all doesn't work though if like the issue with Brady right now, the Team can not sign players to long-term deals and the owner finally isn't scrapping to make the Cap Floor!

I don't see the Devils doing this for two reasons
1. Devils need a pure sniper like Holtz more than a player like Tkachuk
2. Holtz on ELC for 3 years will help the Devils more than paying Tkachuk 8M+

It is a swap of different player types, however ideal for Sens which is why I propose it. I get wanting a pure sniper, but I think NJ was a couple of other prospects that can fill the hole.

As far as making the trade happen, The devil's ownership has the money and would be willing to give Brady the deal with a lot of signing bonus so you don't have to go 8 per on long term, or you can give him the bridge deal he also would take.

But I don't think Holtz is moved. He went down to AHL to get 1st line minutes...looked good in pre-season.
Would be a tempting trade if we knew we were one Brady away from playoffs.

Yep that makes me think maybe he does do it maybe when it might not be best player selection for team, and he will give him the contract he wants.

Like i said, It would be hard to pull off and IDK if Devils would even do it, but he would be my first choice right now as for a return for Brady.
