I like the team. Holtz making the team is a little disappointing but it makes sense. Rather him tear up the AHL than play 3rd line minutes. I also don't understand how Geertsen and White made it over Bahl.

I thought Holtz would make the team, but I understand why he didn’t.
1st AHL minutes is probably better for his development than bottom 6 NHL minutes.

Devils are my playoff dark horse, and very quickly became one of my favourite teams.

Holtz is a stud and really liked watching him, future is bright jersey with him, I like mercer too

Same thought as Holtz no? Bahl only got basically half/ a quarter or an AHL season, give him top 2 minutes in the AHL to develop. I don't think the White/ Geertsen/ Jaros are anything special but should be able to play bottom 2 minutes till Smith/ Severson come back.

I do agree that Bahl should be in the AHL for the majority of the year to develop

But they should have given him a chance in the NHL with the Smith and Severson injuries

🤣 scary that some out there might actually believe that. But in all honesty the team is starting to look a bit competitive. As PIT and WSH age and a few more adds to NJ this will be a solid team

I am very high on Bahl's potential and do think he could have made starting night roster. But I am glad that the Devils now have enough depth in Forwards/ Defensemen now that they don't have to throw in rookies/ younger players immediately.

Hopefully Utica can actually have a winning season with Bahl/ Boqvist/ Foote/ Holtz/ etc all the young talent and veterans Fitz signed.
