Description

Based off some Rags fan with a terrible trade. Could it work...?

Potentially add Georgiev here and get their backup in return, if necessary.

If Brady isn't a good centerman, lines can be:

Laf - Zib - Kreider/Brady
Panarin - Chytil - Kakko
Brady/Kreider - Goodrow - Blais
Hunt/Gauthier - Rooney - Reaves

Next year Rangers have 16 contracts signed with 13mil space. Fox eats 8.5-9mil of that, so worst case 17 contracts with 4mil space. Would likely need to dish Nemeth out to sign Kakko and Blais, so if that does happen, then 6.5mil for Kakko, Blais, and 3 league minimums... really tight, but Brady is one of those once in a lifetime players... would be hard to pass up. Obviously then the next year becomes unbearable with Lafreniere, Miller, and Chytil, etc

At the end of the day, I'd rather remain status quo. Just browsing

not even close. Kravtsov has super low value right now, if an Agent is trying to find a team to trade for him, hes not in demand....Strome is a pending UFA. A 1st and jones as the only valuable long term pieces is beyond underwhelming offer for Brady

he doesn't want to do an 8 year deal, if you want him to sign, its 3 years over 8m. If he wanted that deal he would have signed in Ott already

Not a good offer...? Surely, being unable to come to a contract comes into play. Top 6 center, middle 6 winger with potential top 6, 2nd pairing D with PP QB potential, 1st round pick... for someone you can't sign...

In the description I did mention adding Georgiev and Forsberg respectively, if necessary, so you get a better 1A/1B option for Murray's potential struggles

That's a good point. Well, 3x8mil, same difference, just looking at the money, and again as the title suggests, mostly joking based off the "Kravstov for Brady" post below this.

I do wonder if he'd take longer term for a team that has a good future, though. That could strictly be an OTT thing. But again, this really isn't serious

"Strome is a free agent"... Brady is holding out... OTT was after Strome in the offseason...

Again, this is mostly a joke, but to say it's a bad offer is pretty silly. I'm not a scholar on OTT prospects, but can be changed to one of the many RHD prospects

I know reading is hard, but I wrote in the description for a reason lmfao... this isn't that serious

I'd struggle to think he tops much more than 8mil AAV in his career later, pending some massive cap increases before his UFA years begin or whatever. Suzuki just signed an 8 year deal. Regardless, I'm looking more at the money than the term. I kind of view that as inconsequential in armchair GM

Thats why hes on the 3 year demand, to align himself at the higher projtected cap so he can sign for a larger contract yet will be near the same % of cap which is what agents look at when doing comps around the league

Each player is different, and what they value more. suzuki got overpaid today with the hopes that in 3-4 years that contract is a steal.
