That is epically horrible for Vegas. Two 1sts and 2 NHL players for a, for them, 3rd line center...

I see Monahan as a 2C and we are retaining half his contract for two years. The players are merely meant to help you with the cap.

I don’t see how this is a ridiculous demand. Zary is a solid center prospect but nowhere near a Zegras or even a Krebs. Dube is a generally ok winger and Monahan has been put into every other CGY trade because they want a new guy. The 1st moves to 2023 if Eichel doesn’t play this year.

The Sabres won’t retain on Eichel due to the length they’d be retaining and I highly doubt Lucic will waive his NMC to get waived since Buffalo fans would never welcome him to Buffalo.

It doesn’t really fix Vegas‘s problem because Monahan isn’t really an upgrade over Karlsson who is a number 2 Center. He’s certainly better than Stephenson though, but not a legitimate number one Center, which is what they really want.

I think i would be fine with lucic. We are gonna get pushed around this year. The miller thing was 10 years ago, and i blame regier for building a soft untalented team, way more than lucic.

Chicago declines; you'd need to change the pick to (2) 3rd rounders and one of them a conditional 2nd rounder. Bjork is irrelevant to the hawks.

Supposedly Bowman wanted him after Buffalo acquired him last year. So while fans may not have an interest in him, the GM seems to have interest.

If he was a 1 year rental it would certainly be closer in value but the 2nd year and retention is where the price goes up. Also, just so you understand, without Krebs going the other way I highly doubt you’ll find any 1Cs for sale.

Then we don’t get Monahan lol. Idk where he slots in anyways. Stephenson is cheaper, already has chemistry and out producing him since joining VGK. If we are trading away any prospects it has to be for a legit HEALTHY 1C. Pass on this
