Where is Romanov? He is way better than Kulak and Wideman

You can replace Weber, but unfortunately with the cap space you have, you won’t be able to replace what Weber did for you.

A combination of Savard and Manson with retention would be close to what Weber provided in the two last seasons, but it'd totally sink our offense.

We kept complaining for a couple of years that Weber was getting slower, didn't hit as much, his offense was predictable and his contract was an anchor. Now that he's gone "How will we replace all of what he did for us!?!?", like come on guys ... Savard will eat those defensive minutes (Give him a dozen games to acclimate to the new system like Eddy and Chiarot did) and we've got much better puck movers than Weber for the offensive side of things (Romanov will start taking PP minutes alongside Wideman and Petry) so I don't see the big "oof" coming into this season other than the leadership aspect. Yes it's an aspect he had but it's something intangible that transferred to other players just like it did with Josi in Nashville, it doesn't die when the player goes, it just shows to others how to act and be while he his with them.

kulak or Chairot/petry
romanov/savard
Edmonson/Dunn or Manson

We already replaced Weber .. with Savard, like it or not.
What we need is somebody coming up behind him that will supplant him within a couple years, and replace Petry shortly after.
We're going to have to go hard at some young RD as we are forced to move out salary from wings, or carefully select budget partners while relying on our LD prospects to step up big time.

Savard will be a bottom pair guy. I want Jeremy Lauzon.

- He can take quality and quantity minutes.
- Cheap, for now.
- Seattle have him on the back burner and have plenty of Dmen to replace him.
- Can play both sides.
- Un autre Québécois tabarnak!

Offensively, Weber's shot on the PP will be replaced by Caufield / Hoffman.
