We kept complaining for a couple of years that Weber was getting slower, didn't hit as much, his offense was predictable and his contract was an anchor. Now that he's gone "How will we replace all of what he did for us!?!?", like come on guys ... Savard will eat those defensive minutes (Give him a dozen games to acclimate to the new system like Eddy and Chiarot did) and we've got much better puck movers than Weber for the offensive side of things (Romanov will start taking PP minutes alongside Wideman and Petry) so I don't see the big "oof" coming into this season other than the leadership aspect. Yes it's an aspect he had but it's something intangible that transferred to other players just like it did with Josi in Nashville, it doesn't die when the player goes, it just shows to others how to act and be while he his with them.
