21 man roster? No cap? What happens cap wise when Soupy returns. No 7th NHL Dman. Just to add a 4th winger?

He's really fast with the puck. And a PK unit with Hagelin, Kerfoot, Muzzin, and Holl should be great.

Would Hagelin and a pick for Mikheyev and Engvall leave the Leafs with cap for 22 players? And what pick would make that fair? I think it gets the Caps to 22 and gets them younger. Not sure if they value the new guys as much as Hagelin, but if they want youth and cap space, it could interest them to have 22 guys instead of 21 when healthy, and if they prefer a 3LD to one of the forwards, they can flip them for one.

I'd rather have kept Adam Brooks to fill the "Hagelin" role.

Fast, not physical, decent defensively and chip in 25 or so points. That sounds more like a 25 yo minimum salary guy, then a 33 yo making 2.75M this year and next.

Easy pass.

1. Mik gets traded after he fills in 1 game. Spezza and Simmonds would need to go through Wavers however NO ONE WOULD DARE claim them. They'd refuse to play.
2. Brooks is a tweener.
3. Haglin has a cup ring.
4. Haglin is bae

Well, Mikheyev and Engvall are fast too. Hagelin, Mikeheyv and Engvall had almost indentical stats last season. Hagelin makes too much for what he is. Leafs keep two players at the same cap for the price of all. Sorry Eli you've been reading too many posts from Leaf fans. So many Leafs fans think their bottom end players are terrible and bottom end players from other teams are just fantastic.

Sure, Hagelin, Mikheyev and Engvall had identical stats last season. Someone overpaid bottom enders from other team are so much better than the bottom end Leafs from so many Leaf fansshakes head

So Dermott, Engvall and Mikheyev leave so Leafs can "bolster" their 4th line with a $2.75M 33 yo.

Just not buying it.

I really don't care he has a cup ring.
