Description
Kravtsov should be a top-six lock at this point. My lines are below.

We traded Buchnevich for nothing to make space for Kravtsov's arrival. How could they possibly demote him?

He wasn’t even a half a point per game in the KHL. I can’t believe Rangers fans are surprised to see that he isn’t that good.

It's not just Drury, there are coaches, development staff etc. If he we're ready he would be on the team.

What are you talking about? He lit the KHL on fire last year and was one of the most highly anticipated prospects to arrive in NHL.

His 24 points in 49 games is not impressive considering he was a top 10 pick 4 drafts ago.

When last year started in KHL, the 2021 and 2020 drafts had not happened yet. He was a 2018 draftee, and still was major producer on bad team in second best league in the world. What other 2018's were doing that?

Hate to break it to you but the KHL is not the same as the NHL

I know that. Also I follow a lot of KHL. What Kravtsov did last year was amazing.

Two 2018 draft picks split time between KHL and NHL last year

Vitali Kravtsov (pick #9 in 2018)
KHL: 49 gp, 16 g, 8 a, 24 pts
NHL: 20 gp, 2 g, 2 a, 4 pts

Yegor Sharangovich (pick #141 in 2018)
KHL: 34 gp, 17 g, 8 a, 25 pts
NHL: 54 gp, 16 g, 14 a, 30 pts

Sharangovich >>> Kravtsov

Odd that you follow so much KHL hockey, and say that he was on a bad team when they finished 34-20-3-3....That's 9th out of 23 teams....

But, that's fine...I'm just genuinely curious what exactly Kravtsov did last year that was amazing?

24 points in 49 games is hardly lighting the KHL up. For his age it is definitely respectable but what has the kid done to demand ice time at the NHL level and then a trade because Drury wants to give him top line minutes at the AHL?

No matter what he did in KHL last year- he obviously didn't show enough here to claim a spot on the roster. I know it's fashionable to take Drury to task...and the jury is out on Gallant...but from what I saw in a small sample this preseason he was outplayed by Kakko, Blais, and Gautier. He still is a top 50 or so prospect in this league- and many prospects have bounced a bit between AHL and NHL before going on to have real good careers in the NHL. Having a tantrum is never a solution to anything. Hope he comes to realize that then reports to Hartford so he can prove his doubters wrong.
