Leddy would be VERY useful. I don't see any need for the second deal. Strome is not the answer, Hawks aren't moving Murphy and Chiarot is more important to us than people realize.

He was the Hawks best dman last year, which I understand isn't something brag worthy, but it is what it is. He's capable of being a #1Dman. His value in terms of dollars should be $1.5M - $2M more per year, BUT its also the term is perfect. Years 28-31 right before the typical player starts to decline.

The deal you offered for Leddy, the fourth is pretty much payment to take Kulak, the third is the retention. Need to add a late first or a second and something else for Leddy. Leddy's value recently increased one for his play so far in the preseason and two because ekholm is no longer available for trade.

Detroit passes, That's a crap offer for Leddy. With retention Leddy is easily worth a late 1st round pick if not more. Besides fat chance of Montreal even making the playoffs with all the injuries they've starting the season.
