Don't get me wrong, he is a very hard worker, but Id really like to upgrade to a better finisher. Maybe we've been spoiled with Neal Kessel etc.

It's not his fault when the year before he was just under a point per game. He will have a bounce and and has already looked really solid

I figured even if he plays well a 3rd is all we'd get for Namestnikov at the TDL. So I agree if Pittsburgh want to give up a 3rd now it works for me. But they aren't going to fit under the cap so if they want to give us Zucker it's better than some of the options.

I just don't want anything to do with that contract, we have enough wingers within the organization that would benefit more from that roster spot next season. Plus it would be doing the Penguins too much of a favour to take him. Maybe if the return was a little better I would agree to it. A third just doesn't make me want to take Zucker, even though its more than what Namestnikov would probably return.

I think part of the issue with Zucker is him knowing he has to play more of a defensive role. Mainly because Malkin is lazy defensively.
People wanted him to come in looking like Kessel. But that line didn't work in the end because no one played defense.
It is what it is. He's not a bad player. But you can't expect him to be a 30 goal guy while knowing he has to be more responsible on the ice.
