Those players seem like decent prospects but I think I would prefer less for better quality.

The trade is an overpay, but not a big one. Novak is probably a career AHLer. Luke has some good skills, but the real piece is Farrance. I think Steve would do Farrance + 2nd round pick, with the SCF protection (which isn't even a worry for anyone).

Even with the anti-vax stance, Bertuzzi still does have value. I'm willing to bet by the time he's a UFA, he'll have his vaccine done. If you are trying to cash in, you can't take away 1/3 of the league as bidders.
