LA going for it

Description
Iafallo will get moved if Lias performs really well and can take that 2nd line spot. Otherwise you keep him for 1 more year then trade him for a 1st.

Kempe signs the same deal Iafallo signed. That 3rd line is nasty. ****emo has a great shot and could be a legit 20 goal scorer in that role. Byfield is a supertalent and then Kempe who is a legit top 6 player playing in a 3rd line role. The forward depth is insane even with Turcotte gone. Forsberg was not happy with Arvidsson leaving and can now reunite with him and will have a much greater shot at the cup. The deal he gets is good aswell. 4th line is tough to face aswell. Lias has that good 2-way game with offensive upside and has been good this pre season. Dolan is a good young talent and Lemiuex is a tough guy that hits alot and can fight. Lias is a big guy aswell, that can play a punishing game.

Clarke plays with a solid shutdown D man and can dominate in the offensive zone. The right D is really strong. Both Clarke and Schneider will be legit top 4 D man and Doughty is still good. Gardiner gets a chance at a top 2 role that never would have been given in Carolina.

Schneider will fit in perfectly as the D needs some improvement while L.A has insane center depth especially with the addition of Danault so they can afford to lose Turcotte. Rags gets a nice 1-2-3 punch in Zibanejad, Turcotte and Chytil. I think this is a trade both teams win. Rags already have Fox, Lundqvist and Trouba so it makes sense to them to get rid of Schneider

As a Kings fan I would do the Wagner deal. Hard pass on the rest of the trades.

I read through again and this needs some follow up commentary:

The only Ranger player that LA might be inclined to trade Turcotte for is K'Andre Miller, and NY would need to add to the deal for the Kings to pull the trigger. LA doesn't need any help at RHD. They are already overloaded with quality RHD (Clarke, Faber, Spence, and Grans all look to be quality NHL defensemen, Durzi and Strand are depth RHD options). They could use an upgrade at LHD though.

Speaking of LHD, what happened to Mikey Anderson? He's the Kings single best LHD and he's just missing from your roster. You apparently replaced him with Jake Gardiner, who is old and terrible. LA even had to pay several draft picks and Matt Roy so they could downgrade from Anderson to Gardiner?

Grundstrom is probably worth a 3rd round pick in a trade. Walker is thrown in why? He's a quality defenseman on a team friendly contract. He's worth at least a 2nd round pick by himself.

Frk and Edler aren't coming back after this season. Frk didn't even make the team this year.

The Wagner trade is fine and Forsberg would be a nice pickup. Everything else is a hard pass.

I'm not sure you know who Carl Grundstrom, Matt Roy and Sean Walker are. In particular, Roy is probably worth a second-round pick, with his contract, so why in the world would we be paying Arizona to take him off our hands?!?!?

We won't be keeping Lemieux or trading for Gardiner or signing Forsberg, and Wagner isn't worth a fourth.

Hard Pass from Ottawa, they have no need for a 4th liner with no offensive skill. they have Watson and Sanford, plus too many young guys that roster spots should be going to.

    Whoa.

What on earth is going on with the Grundstrom Walker deal like that has to be a typo or a forgotten asset or something... that's totally nuts

Grundstrom is superb and Walker is good

    1) Gardiner is done for the year with hip and back surgery

    2) Carolina don't have the cap to retain a mil, so instantly this gets denied. Ask Arizona to retain the full 2 mil.
