The fact that they got a top 3 pairing in the league long term for 1M more than Doughty and 500k more than Karlsson is mind boggling.

Salo looks like he can already handle 2nd pair minutes, so I think he’ll play with Dobson. Isles will probably look for a vet 3rd pair D like Ian Cole on a 1 year deal.

The only reason I signed Chiarot was if Salo can’t handle 2nd pairing minutes. Chiarot is the kind of player that Lou and Trotz would like on the backend. But if Salo is good this year, I agree sign a veteran too a 1 year deal before Bolduc jumps in

laugh laugh So both season's in Detroit Robby Fabbri was on a 50 point season over an 82 game schedule, And you honestly think he's going to accept a $200,000 paycut to sign with the New York Islanders for 2 years. Get real on a 4 year deal for Fabbri you're looking at between $4,000,000 to $4,500,000 rather easily.

Isles should be able to keep this Top 4 on lock for years to come, and GOD is our future bright with this defensive core! Isles just need some of their forward prospects to take a step forward (Wahlstrom will, I have high hopes for Golyshev and could see Iskhakov and Holmstrom being great bargain third line producers).

The future isn’t flashy, but it remains bright!

Realistically he'll get between 3.5M to $4M on a 3-4 year offer. He's sure not going to sign for $200,000 less then what he's currently making now. If healthy he should be in 40-50 point range. he's very dangerous on the PP.

In DET … but I don’t know if a contender is going to give him 3.5M+

Over the course of his career when healthy which i know hasn't been much, He's on pace for 50 point seasons. He's currently making $2,950,000 right now. he'll easily get $3,500,000 from Detroit or a contender rather easily.

I doubt it with holmstrom and ishakov. It doesnt look like ishakov will sign with NYI, he'll probably sign somewhere else come june 1, and as for holmstrom it doesnt look very promising. The guy i think you left out is raty. Id love to see if with more consistent minutes and a more offensive role he can recreate some of that 2019-20 magic.
