clearly not last in the nhl but as long as you don't make the playoff you can get the first pick. And mtl not making the playoffs is probable.

technically they were closer to last place in the league than they were first place before the cinderella run, but i cant see them doing that bad to get wright

you lose suzuki or petry long term and they're bottom ten of the league.

Lots of things would have the be Wright but it's not impossible, we've got two shot at it in two tough divisions so eh.

As of this year, Teams in the 11th to 15th overall range can only climb 7 spots. no longer can teams in those spots get top 3 picks. For Montreal to land Wright they'd basically have to finish no worse then 26th overall.

Yup, I think a lot will depend on how long Carey Price will be out.

but bergevin said he tought it wasn't gonna be more then a month. so i dont think he will miss a lot of the season
