High 2nd round pick or a former first round pick prospect who is struggling a bit.

Either a similar boat struggling forward (Debrusk type), a prospect that is struggling to break into the team's system (Vesalainen type) or a high 2nd. I don't think his value meets either what the Rangers want or what the fans think he is worth.

    One of the following:
    1. A similarly rated prospect
    2. A 2022 1st
    3. A 2022 and 2023 2nd (where right now that 2022 2nd expected to be in top 45)

Of course I realize that any of the 3 above scenarios above is an attempt to get close to dollar to dollar value for him....while the stunt he's pulling certainly diminishes his value. Point is the Rangers are not pressed to move him...Krav would do a great disservice to himself by going home. Rangers hold all the cards here. Should he get his head out of his a$$, stop pouting, man-up, and put in the work he needs in Hartford- I'm sure he'll be back sooner than later...and he'll EARN the respect he feels he should be given...and he can set himself up for his next contract while launching his NHL career. Many before him have done just that.

Key word in your reply is the one I bolded. And it's not happening. His time in New York is done and that was all but confirmed when it was reported that Kravtsov is willing to play in the AHL as long as it's not Hartford. The Rangers are on the opposite end of the trade leverage because his value will steadily and continuously decrease while he isn't playing.

@tkecanuck341 and @Wqrrior provided the correct prices for Vitali Kravtsov.

But he will be playing...in Russia. And if he wants to come back to NHL- NYR have his rights into the future. As far as his value- has already taken a hit with the attitude he's shown. The offer Wqrrior puts up is close to my #3 option- so I guess I'd be willing to entertain that as a starting point. Less than that though- I'd rather play it like EDM played the JP situation...which seemingly has worked itself out.

Trade him and Gordie Clark for a 2nd round pick.
