Description

Based on last nights performance, here’s what I’m thinking:

- Young players really played well. Their development has been great and they all seem very comfortable out there.

- Lindholm / Drysdale pairing is great and worked very nice last night

- Groulx played well for his first NHL game but should not be stuck with Grant and Deslauriers.

- Henrique looks very comfortable on the wing with Zegras and Rakell

- Comtois and Rakell should switch positions, for Zegras and Comtois seem to be more comfortable together.

- McTavish deserves a full time roster spot over Grant, Steel, and Deslauriers

- Pateryn was a great leader and stepped in when things got rough.

Conclusion:

If Gibson can continue to play like this and our offense can continue to improve, we could be a sleeper playoff team with our weak division.

If Gibson can keep up that level of play, he’ll win the Vezina and get you guys into the playoffs. He was great. Also man ducks young players are really good. Drysdale looked great, same with Zegras and mctavish impressed me.

Love the Jets man, and always love playing against them. But man last night I couldn’t help but hate them. Hitting Gibson twice when they know he’s our rock, wasn't cool. Dubois got a bit too rough with Gibby. Besides that I thought it was a great game.

I thought the Dubois play was right on the line, probably a bit too close though. But the others ones I wasn’t a fan of, I hate when people hit goalies, happens a lot with hellebuyck.

Jets are fun to watch, same with ducks so games are always great with them.

Popular opinion: fire Eakins. Unless something was up with Terry playing him ~8 min last night is absolutely pathetic coaching. I don’t mind spreading out the TOI among the forwards like he did but Terry shouldn’t be the lowest. And grant shouldn’t be be the top.

This team is still poor but they should at least be a fun team based off of last night.

I couldn't watch the game yesterday, but this is also everything I learned about the game through Twitter, etc.

I really hope Comtois plays with Zegras again. They play really well together and I think it would benefit both. I really hope Gibby can continue to play as well as he did yesterday.
