Agreed. How many seasons is it gonna take for collitons "system" to actually work?

I have a feeling Bowman will fire Colliton and hire Babcock.

Agree on that point as well. The Avs are the benchmark of elite in the NHL right now; heavy favorites by the analysts and by scouts from various teams to win the cup this year. The reality is the blackhawks are middling team still.

For the Hawks my biggest question is going to be the defense. If the defense plays good, imo there a playoff team. The hawks need to change there defensive system because it hasn't worked for the past few years. I think that will be the factor if Colliton gets replaced is how the defense plays this season.

Even in the game on Wednesday night, you can see where the defensive playing man led to two of the goals. Had they been in zone, they would have had a much better chance of stopping two of those rushes. I get the system is really a blend of the two, but more often then not when they have gotten scored on it's when they are playing man. The argument is there is communication breakdown with the defenders in man that lead to odd man rushes and goals, but the game is too fast for it to be that simple.
