Description

What about that?:
Forsberg to LA trade idea. Man will reunite with his old buddy Arvi. And then they together will prove GMDP who was wrong. Just imagine, how good they will be with center like Kopitar.

This can and will happen before Christmas, if:
1) LA will be in playoff spot, or really close to it.
2) Nashville will be in the bottom ten.
3) Forsberg will be good, healthy, and ppg player.
4) Turcotte will have around 0.8 ppg at AHL lvl (but no NHL experience this season).
5) Athanasiou will not find his place in LA lineup. As well as Moore.
6) Grans will have good start of AHL season, not perfect, just good.
7) Davies will be pretty solid in AHL, and looks NHL ready.

So, what do you think about that trade? Especially LA and Preds fans.

Kinda crazy for the Kings to give up anything, for a guy that is going to sign with them anyway. Kings keep their young assets, spend their cap on some UFA in the summer.

I stay well away from that as a Kings fan. That's WAAYYY too much for a guy who's next contract would take into his mid 30's. Especially, when they could sign him in the offseason for nothing but cap space. Yes, there is the risk of him going to another team. But there's more risk in sending so much supplemental, cheap depth and talent away from the organization.

I could see LA considering giving up a lottery protected 1st for Forsberg at the deadline if they're in playoff contention. You can take everything else out of the trade. They're not going to give up any more than that.
