ROR all over again, this time it's just a threeway with some actual quality pieces going Sabres' way.

That being said, trading Tarasenko+Thomas+Neighbours+2022 1st in exchange to Eichel+Boqvist+2022 1st can be considered very valuable.

Think NJ here is the biggest loser.

That's awfully nice of Buffalo to retain 50% of Tarasenko and take the Devil's capdump for nothing, but the Devils aren't giving up a first for Vladdy.

Devils aren't giving up a 1st.
And they don't need retention, certainly not 3rd party retention.

Tarasenko for Boqvist or Johnsson and 2nd would be fair

Boqvist and Johnsson are both nobodies imo

Johnsson struggled last year. He isn't a nobody, but hasn't lived up to his rookie year and contract.
Boqvist has a good set of skills (great skating, very fast) but just hasn't put together yet.

Boqvist and 2nd for unretained Tarasenko is probably good until Tank shows a healthy stretch of games.

If New Jersey was willing to give up Boqvist and a 2nd, Tarasenko would already be there. Now the season will start, he'll score a bunch and the asking price will soar.

Yeah i think its the other way around, if St. Louis was giving Tarasenko away for a 2nd, he'd already be in NJ

Well, for one, that is not the other way around. You've changed the parameters.

Secondly, you're flat wrong.

You think Tarasenko is worth an AHLer and a 2nd opposed to an ahler depth forward and a protected 1st?

Okay, you've lost me now. Are you calling Boqvist "an AHLer"? And who else?
