Columbus would be, depending on the price, but they would likely get a better return from a contender like Vegas or Boston.

Actually Boston would probably be a great fit with him as their 2C behind Bergeron on a line with Hall.

IMO Monahan at that cheap is a beutiful contract

It'd be hard not to be interested in Monahan at 50% retained. Last season being an outlier, in his first 7 seasons he never scored at less than a 24G per 82GP pace. You'd be crazy to not want someone with that history and a 2 year contract at a little over $3mil for ages 27-29. With that contract and that potential, teams would give up a nice package to acquire.
