If we truly suck this year, Petry, Toffoli, Hoffman and perhaps Price are all getting traded. Embrace the rebuild for real

Chiarot should be able to get more than a 2nd rounder when Savard got a 1st and 3rd rounder last deadline. He's starting to tank his value a bit rn tho

Paquette isnt even an NHL'r at this point, maybe, Ottawa will take him?

That’s a major over value for Lehkonen, he’s a lesser version of nuke, are you trading guhle for nuke?

More like Nischuskin vs Struble but you are right I wouldn’t do it either
I thought he was more of a late 2nd rounder

helleson is a solid prospect, so no that is not correct

so low balling both aspects here

draft selection is meaningless when comparing the prospects after tehri Dev 1 year. You can over draft a 2nd rounder in the 1st round doesnt mean hes more valuable now bc you over drafted as n exampe

this is the worse argument you can make

Helleson did nothing yet too improve where he was drafted
And Guhle shows good things since he got drafted
They are not in the same tier

Struble = Helleson
Lehkonen ~= Nichushkin (I’ll give the edge too Nichushkin)

How am I a homer when draft publications and prospect people coverage people have Helleson on the rise since he added an offensive element to his game last year

Like I said you have no idea what you are talking about bc you haven’t spent a second to looking up helleson, you said it yourself he didn’t do anything to improve his stock

Dude you didn’t even attempt to look him up and you got caught talking out of your butt. And as we have this convo he already has a 2 point night

Wow the guy draft above (Struble) have the same progression and nobody are talking like you are about Helleson. They are both solid prospects but still prospect

dude I am pointing out how you straight up tried to fabricate a point to support your own narrative, if you dont know what you are talking about with another teams prospect, dont go out and say "they haven't done anything to improve their draft stock"

If you dont know, you dont know that is all I am saying, this is not a Habs vs Helleseon prospect debate, I have never once tried to claim one is better than the other, I am making the point of you straight up making up statements, thats it

Where a player was drafted 2-3 years ago has little bearing on their current value. Helleson's value has only gone way up since then, with 2 good seasons in college, and he was also USA's top shutdown Dman in winning gold at the WJC.

I could see Lehkonen being a target for Sakic at the deadline for sure, but not for Helleson. Maybe a mid-round pick, or a 3rd since he's an RFA rather than pure rental. His analytics were really good prior to last season. Ideally it wouldn't be the only addition at the deadline though, but in conjunction with a legit top 6 forward.

Maybe Beaucage instead of Helleson
