Think you messed up, you have the first rounder going to WSH instead of Vancouver.

When you remove Hathaway and the 4th round pick (which are roughly equal in value), you get this:


Orlov for JT Miller and Vancouver's 1st for 2024.

That 1st pick, on top of Miller, has to make this tempting, but the Caps finished top five last year in goals for and power play percentage, so Miller makes such a small improvement for them.

Before the trade, their LHD is Orlov, waiver claim Dennis Cholowski, and rookie Martin Fehervary.

The value is there, if they're ever going to consider moving Orlov, but is Cholowski a 1LD on a playoff team?

Instead of a 4th, does Van have a spare LHD or two? Preferably at league min?
