What's the point of the Boychuck trade?

Should also get the Ducks 2nd round pick in 2022 if they're not sending their 1st in this draft or any of the guys you listed.

"You get to keep Zegras, Drysdale, McTavish, AND your 2022 1st," Well the Ducks prefer to have Comtois, Perrault, Lundstgrom and the first rounder plus 8m in cap rather than having Eichel.

Why are they still tied to Eichel trade talks then? They have to give up something if they want him right? Come on

Who says they are tied to Eichel talks. ? Sabres are probably trying to create buzz around Eichel, hoping to get better trade value. IMO this is massive overpay for Eichel for a probable lottery team.
Ducks keep all those young assets, and spend the Eichel cap on a UFA or two.

Thank you General. I've seen hundreds or Eichel trades and almost all make no sense to the non Buffalo teams. Contending teams have little cap, and they aren't dismantling their team to fit in an injured Eichel. Teams with cap, generally lottery bound teams aren't giving up young assets. They would prefer to keep their young assets and next summer spend that "Eichel cap" on a UFA(s).
Buffalo's in a no win situation.
