What would be a fair deal?

maybe 2 4ths, I think the sharks would want 2 assets for 2 assets. Really depends on how well Simek can recover his game this season and if Reimer continues his league average play.

I'd take this deal. Simek still has plenty to offer when healthy but we have a logjam at LD.

Detroit passes on both. With Detroit's center situation they can't be trading centers for wingers. Detroit doesn't need a goalie and Reimer isn't much of an upgrade from Detroit's back up Greiss and Simek is a 3rd pair defenseman.

Depends on how each guy plays this season but you're in the ballpark for sure.

Simek paired with his fellow countryman Hronek could be a pretty nice fit.

Trading your former 9th overall pick for a guy who passed thru waivers* isn't exactly "asset management goals" or whatever the youths are saying

*wrongly but nevertheless

Why not just keep Rasmussen

Even if he plateaus as what he is now (unlikely)

You can still make a trade like that easily ultimately
