Call me crazy, but I don't think NYR adds on a Draisaitl/Fox trade. More of a straight up thing imo. Surprisingly not an insane concept value-wise. Rangers have such a massive RD wealth.

As crazy as it is, this solves our problems. We may not have another Fox caliber in the system, but our defensive depth is damn good and wouldn’t be destroyed by this. Crazy that we’d still have Robertson and Jones as well in the system.

I’m torn but think you have to keep fox…I love draisaitl but if zibanejad is at the top of his game he’s a capable number one c for a cup contender. At least in eichel deals I’ve never seen fox a part of them

EDM declines, the value isn't even close.
You can talk Fox up to yourself all day long. Dri has basically 2 50 goal pace seasons and a 45 goal pace season in the last 3 years.
Only a Rangers fan thinks EDM is trading that for this.

Fox didn't want to play in Canada when he was drafted to the Flames. He only wanted to play in New York. Considering the guys past I just don't see him being that great of a piece on the trade market, despite being a franchise level D-man.

I kinda expect this is the reason why Fox is pretty much never included in Eichel trades or the like.

He's gonna stay a Ranger for the foreseeable future.
