When did Zadina request a trade? - or do you mean in this fantasy scenario?

opps, I thought I seen an article which he did, but it was an opinion article that stated maybe it'll be best for Zadina to have a change of scenery.

Ah yes, let's settle for a 1st 3 years from now and a 4000 year old defensemen

Well even give you a likely top 35 pick back.

Obviously 5 trade pieces is too much, so pick one piece and remove it to make the trade fair.

The pieces have to be good pieces. None of these pieces can be considered, "the main piece"

This makes Detroit worse!

If you'd look at Detroit's roster you'd see they can't afford to give up that much for 1 player.

And Buffalo doesn't accept this.

Cossa, future starting goalie. The Wings thought highly enough about him to trade up in the 1st Rd and adding a 2nd and 5th Rd pick to draft him. I don't know much about Jr. hockey players but if Stevie Y. trades 3 valuable pieces just to draft this guy, than I trust he is hot stuff.

Sabres goaltending has been bad for over a decade.

Also Leddy could be flip at the TDL (50% retained to get the biggest bang for the buck) to add more draft picks.

Leddy is on pace for a 80+ point season bro.

I look at this lineup and see playoff contention if coached and goaltending improves.

Rumors say the Sabres aren't going to retain salary and they aren't accepting long term salary cap dump players. So that leaves about half a dozen possible teams, Wings are one of them.

Well playoff contention isn't the goal winning the cup is the goal. When you don't aim for the top you have no chance of making it to the top.

Yes and before last nights game Bertuzzi was on pace for 328.

Well that's Buffalo's problem not Detroit's and I can assure Detroit won't give up anything close to this for 1 player.

Honestly I don't see anything note worthy given up in this trade.

Leddy will be a TDL guy.
Zadina will forever be a middle 6 guy at best.
Lindstrom will forever be a bottom pair Dman.
Cossa is an "x" factor, could be a future starter or can be a bust.
1st Rd pick involved is just dropping 25 spots in the draft.

This is an easy win for the Wings. It's the Sabres who might have to pass, depending on Leddy's TDL worth.

Leddy is just 30 years old, how old are you, 12 ? to consider a 30 yr old to be ancient.

Irrelevant if Detroit can afford him. He isn't a fit for the rebuild.

Zadina+Cossa+2024 1st round pick is way more then enough for an injured Eichel. Let alone adding Leddy and Lindstrom to the deal.

Why does Zadina need a change of scenery? He's played 88 NHLgames, is only 21 years old, and has been progressing well in all facets of his game, with an arguable at best exception to his shot.

If any Eichel trade happens this year, the Sabres need a large contract back to eat up salary cap space. Hence adding a rental like Leddy.
