Ugh, wrote out a long detailed response. Ipad swiped to a different page while editing a section and lost it all....Ouch!
Thank you for your feed back.
OK let's be completely clear here, 1st, Lysell, Debrusk, 2nd, Moore without retention is not a bad offer.
I completely agree, Buffalo would be gambling on Jake.
If he returns to 20g/season, Buffalo wins the trade, if not they still have Lysell and the first to fall back on,
You are correct most Buffalo fans would want the 2nd to be a first and Studnicka added, then cry that Jack is a bust and DeBrusk is a LW while Buffalo has Skinner, Olofsson, Peterka, Bjork, etc.
Believe me I have read the routine too often, I know all of the moves.
If the first and second are 2022, I take the trade a gamble on DeBrusk bouncing back, Lysell jumping the NHL in two years and the first round pick producing a mid 6 forward.
Sure Jack may step up and provide the winning goal 3 out of four times against Buffalo, so what, Buffalo hardly ever beats Boston anyway LOL.
Buffalo wants to be bad this year, DeBrusk with 20 goals is not going to make Buffalo a playoff team, it will take a solid full team effort, not one player.
Now here is a dirty little secret no Sabre fan wants to admit:
In the last 28 games he played, the Sabres were 7-18-3 with 4 shut outs and scoring 5 or more goals once.
In the last 24 games that he has not played the Sabres are 11-11-2 with 2 shut outs and scoring 5 or more goals 6 times.
I know Krueger had a lot to do with the poor performance, but that record does not send chills up and down my spine that Jack will make Boston into a cup champion.
