Boston does not need more undersized D men.

He’s the exact opposite of what they need in a Dman.

Maybe not to the Flames, but a player who at 50% retained is under $1.5M and puts up ~20 goals ~50 points a season on a low scoring team can fetch a 1st. There’s injury risk of course, and maybe Fabbri has a down year, but there’s value there for sure

Sure most pf those guys can go but your a bit greedy on a couple. Unless fabbri is pushing 25 goals by trade deadline a 1st is too much. Leddy might get a 1st but not all rest. Guys like staal, stecher, DDK maybe late picks.

Kase was a "60-70 point winger if he could stay healthy player on a bad team" maybe try thinking before throwing insults on stuff you dont know

…. the thing is Kase did get a 1st rounder at the TDL, or a 2nd round prospect and the Ducks took a 1st to eat Backes’s contract - depending what you believe taking on Backes was worth.

I would say taking on Backes was the main part of that trade, plus Kase had an extra year of control at the time.

Fabbri isnt worth a 1st, maybe a 2nd but not a 1st

well fair enough, but the value will greatly vary depending on the condition. Avs arent paying a 3rd for Namestnikov if the condition is for him to play 1 playoff game or something easy like that. Also DET wouldnt trade him for that if the condition was that he had to win the conn smythe for the pick to transfer or something unrealistic like that

Calgary and Montreal aren't making the playoffs, Good chance that Pittsburgh doesn't make it as well. Marc Staal already said that he's not waiving his NMC. We're not trading these players for picks that're still 2 and 3 years out. Fabbri has to be a 2022 1st round pick. So we deal Namestnikov and Gagner for picks that're still 2 years out i don't think so Yzerman isn't that dumb these picks need to be 2022 and no later then 2023 unless they're multiple picks.

yeah no one is paying that for Staal or any of these other defensemen.
DeKyser will probably be on IR by TDL and Leddy being worth anything is a joke.

DET will be replacing their whole LD next season because they are cap dumps and bad players.
The only question will be, will they be replaced with other cap dumps or will they actually put some effort into the team prior to guys like Larkin jetting next year due to lack of effort.

Irrelevant...cuz 99% of players with nmc .. Waive the right when team no longer wants them..just determines which team they want to go to...like list if 5-10 etc as ex...they still move just want a say to where..only franchise players like bourque in bos..lidstrom det ..etc have them to block basically all trades if not avalanche (or wings at time) he likely stays in bos too

Lol, Grizz and Reilly are better puck movers than Mac there clueless.

Boston counters with Kuhlman for a 2nd. Because Detroit needs more spare part caliber forwards. There you go.
