Please dont start with the Price to COL trades again. If Price was worth that much then why was he exposed to SEA and why did they take Cale Fleury over him?

seem a little unrealistic to start, but that aves trade..... man... habs would have to add 3 first round picks and remove colorados pick and i still dont think the Aves would do it lol.

I love how so many trash Marc Bergevin. Playing EA sports to making trades on capfriendly does not add up to real life. If people actually listen to the comments about Bergevin around the league, most say he made most of his mistakes his first 5 years but in the last 4 years he has been quite shrewd. Montreal is the only team that accumulated 29 picks in the last 3 drafts. They should have had 21 picks, that is 8 more picks, so in essence an entire full draft year plus one extra draft.

Marc has actually made some really good moves in the last 4 years and made this team competitive. Yes they are in a funk right now, but they will snap out of it, especially when all the injured players comeback.

LMAO chiarot for a 1st ! Everyone not names Montreal heavily declines. Price has no value, Canucks aren’t trading their top prospect and a 1st for toffoli, Gallagher’s contract heavily limits his trade value, and pacquette is replacement level (aka no worth any asset).

Also, did I mention chiarot for a 1st is LAUGHABLE?

Mixed emotions with bergevin for me

He’s been 10x better recently but still a couple of iffy move. Giving Suzuki 8 for nothing but not giving kk a chance? Not upgrading at c this offseason.

And holding onto Timmons way too ****ing long, he’s been better recently but still not great

Gotta give bergevin some credit though for some nice moves of late. Also is the gutsiest gm in the league

Do think he’s done after this season, his choice

The first few are bad/silly. Chiarot does not get a 1st

But then that Colorado trade. Wow. Bad/silly does not begin to explain it.

KK would still be playing with the Habs if not for Carolina's completely absurd offer. They were being cheeky and wanted to play immature games. I completely agree with Montreal to take the picks and go get Dvorak. So you can't blame Bergevin on that. Suzuki is and will be a very productive player, he will settle down with his new contract and play much better, give him a little more time. But not a bad contract for a 1st line Centre in the NHL.

I strongly disliked Timmins and often called for his resignation but I will give credit, he has done much better his last 4 drafts. My gut tells me Marc will move closer to his kids. I was a GM in Junior and my phone rang constantly, I could not even enjoy a meal with my family without my phone ringing, so I can only imagine what it is like at the NHL level.

What I do not like on capfriendly and RDS, is that people comment based on if the team won or lost. We lose a few and it is full of crazy trades and they hate Bergevin. We win a few and people like the team and Bergevin. It must be frustrating living a life based on emotions.

The usual rebuild nonsense. Sending big cap to other teams that can't afford or have no need for the players for high picks and prospects. In a cap league, doesn't happen.
All teams say no....they spend the big cap on other players including UFAs and keep their young assets.

Actually, Detroit has had 31 picks in the past 3 drafts

This is the NHL, not a flee market. You can't just trade away your old stuff for valuable youth.
