lol at the implication that Marchand would ever put on the foil

Marchand is better, is signed longer, at almost 5 million less. Ya, no.

Say what you want about him, but back in the day when he would pull his dirty crap, he would always answer the bell if challenged

if by answer the bell you mean hid behind chara, lucic or whatever and then throw body shots or slashes in a scrum sure, He's averaged less than 2 fights a season his entire career and most of those are against guys like Stamkos or Ehlers, the toughest guy he's ever fought is Zack Smith once and that's by a vast and wide margin.
Marchand is lots of things, but a tough guy is not one of them. He's a super pest, but he runs 99.9% of the time and always has.

There’s a lot of reasons to criticize marchands conduct on the ice. Yours isn’t based in reality, but rather what you want reality to be.

Back in the day (last year) when he pulled his dirty crap against Kulikov, he answered the bell by jumping Jesper Bratt, so he didn't have to face Kulikov.
Back in the day (also last year) when he pulled his dirty crap against Jack Hughes, he answered the bell by skating off the ice.

If you wanna pretend he was something he wasnt that's on you. His rep as a dirty player who doesnt answer the bell against tough guys is well established and earned. That's the reality of it if you like it or not

All true, but he's nine years and six days older, and the Bruins are trying to get younger. Those extra six days make a difference! Plus, I added Grzecyk just to get the cap within 800k, even though I don't think Toronto really needs him, and he makes it harder for them to sign Rielly next year.

See, that first part exists. That second part doesn’t, no matter how badly you want it to

I’m pretty sure those incidents were nothing, and that this might be a bit of, “Everytime a player on my beloved team gets hit, it’s dirty,” syndrome.

that's wild coming from someone on the "every time my player does something dirty, it wasnt actually dirty and it was nothing" side of the argument

That was dumb, but if you look at their off season they’re clearly not trying to get younger

I call out dirty plays by Bruins, or really anyone. Do you remember this Hughes incident? Me neither. Same for youtube. I went like 100 results deep and couldn’t find a thing

you wanna try and call bias on someone while you're defending your own player with clear bias is the point im going for here.

ah yes, that known stat kept of 'running away', hold on while i pull up the youtube highlights that people make of stuff like that. How about this, the fact that he's literally got one of the dirtiest reps in the league, averages less than 2 fights a season has fought one legit tough guy and a bunch of skill players.
You wanna prove he's answered the bell, go ahead

I’m defending him against false claims of him not answering the bell. I’ve openly said he has a history of being dirty. What are you talking about?

Sure. Just type in Brad Marchand fight into YouTube. He doesn’t usually do it at random.

You seem really confident that this is a pattern, so surely you could think of one time where he’s ran away. It should be super easy. Unless it doesn’t really happen and you just sooooo what it to be something it’s not.
