I thought he played fine that line generated tons of scoring chances if a couple of those go in you’re singing a different tune

Isn't he supposed to be a PP specialist anyways? Why do they have him on that line for 5v5, it makes no sense

I told them all that the ritchie first line experiment would end horribly. If the leafs are smarter than the bruins he’ll be in the ahl soon. There’s a reason he wasn’t qualified

They were pretty successful with him on there line matthews coulda had like 3 goals and I’m sure they like having the security of having him on the ice so guy DJ t take runs at them

Didnt notice anything bad about him tonight at all. He went in front of the net and was getting the puck to AM and MM. Doubt Hyman would have done much better lul

In general puck luck was not on our side that game lul just ask AM

Anyways still better than having Thorton

I don't like him either on that line, incredibly slow. I have a feeling that Domi is going to be signing for more then that after this year he looks completely rejuvenated.

Because they didn't have the cap space to give him his QO : )

Ritchie is good in a bottom/middle 6 role, but whenever he gets moved above that he suffers. The lack of speed doesn’t help, but he’s providing good value on the ice as long as he’s playing 12-15 minutes of disciplined hockey per game.

Bunting, Kerfoot and Mikhey will be the 2 top lw'ers.

Ritchie will end up being a bottom 6 guy.

Honestly what Keefe is having him do is fine in certain situations. Cause really your only job on that line is get the puck to AM and MM and go in front of the net, thats what he did. Like people complain about speed, nobody is keeping up with AM and MM. Hyman couldn't without hurting himself, Thorton was a turtle, and chucky had 1 good game with em. In general, unless you go get a speed demon or someone of their caliber I dont think your gonna find the guy to pair with the Dynamic Duo.

Now yes I do agree he should be on the third line. But honestly in certain situations as we saw tonight him being on that line comes in handy as if it was not for Shesterkin having a game he would have scored 2 off tip ins.

Ritchie and Ryan Donato always get this

Super understaded players who look kinda meh on the ice, never flashy whatsoever, they seem kinda like NHL NPCs. Arrested development "teamfills". 😐

I agree he shouldn't be the LW on the big line

But Ritchie had a SKATR chart from 2018-20 that was similar to the likes of Blake Coleman and Donato is just below 1.5 pts/60 for his career- 2nd liner level

They just get it done at the end of the day 🤷‍♂️

No from Caps, why would they or any other team pay a 3rd for him if he's horrible? Stop sending them players you don't want, Caps don't need them and don't have space for them.
