Not sure I would wanna break up the Bunting-JT-Willy love fest. They have chemistry. Leave it alone.

I actually leave Ritchie on the top line for a few more games, for a couple of reasons:

1. It was Matthews first game of the year. He looked good, but let him get going. He and Marner always have had their thing.

2. Ritchie hits. He opens up ice for Matthews and Marner, ad his game in the dirty areas is pretty good. Garbage goals count just as much as the pretty ones.

Point is, it was the first game with that as a line. Give them some time to figure it out.

Leafs qere on point against the Rangers. Sheshterkin stood in his head.

Don't go hitting panic buttons quite yet.

my issue with Ritchie is he just seems lost and not sure where to go and since he is so slow he is the last one to the party.

He is only 4 games into his Leafs tenure, playing with talent he has never seen before. Does he need to find his niche there? Yes. But, I would give it a few more games.

Imo, his niche isn't going to be where he is part of a fast break. More the guy in the corners working to hold possession in the offensive zone. Works to the front of the net to create havoc when the play moves to the blueline or side boards (which in theory should draw two defenders in, freeing up space for Marner and Matthews to really operate) Could be a very useful part of the cycle game.....
