Colliton has nothing to do with the situation. He's just not a good coach.
Considering he was probably in college when these incidents occurred, it's obvious he's not involved. I never said he was. I'm simply asking if the changes in the front office make it more or less likely that he keeps his job.
Understand you're point of view from this but I don't necessarily agree - the inaction from the organization should warrant some sort of deterrent punishment. They knew about it, essentially rewarded the guy who did it (Aldrich got full pay after he was let go, got a day with the cup, his name on the cup and a ring, Quenneville essentially gave him a glowing writeup despite knowing what he did), and did nothing about it until they absolutely had to 11 years later. Some rando mocking the guy over the assault 4 years after the fact doesn't paint a great picture of the organization. Honestly I think the problem runs deeper than the handful of executives from that meeting, and those guys stuck around until today.
Also - it should be a matter of setting a standard. The Devils got their 1st sent to the end of the draft for cap circumvention. Arizona lost their 1st because they were illegally scouting players. Don't think either of things are on the magnitude that this is so it'd make sense to reprehend the Blackhawks.
Even if it's just the 2022 or 2023 (whichever one Columbus doesn't receive) would be fine. Locks them out of getting a marquee player.
Well I mean there are a few things here I need to mention:
- the punishments given to NJ and AZ are too harsh
-the 2M fine given to the Hawks is a nothing burger and should be substantially raised to 20M at least and the team should donate a significant amount of cash to a charity of the victim's choice
-I agree Q needs to be fired, and probably Cheveldayoff too

It is an interesting thing to watch. I’d say it probably increases the chances he’s here short-term, but when they hire a new GM Colliton might be gone so the GM can get “his guy”.
He's not guaranteed to see any playing time, but I would be surprised to see him out of the lineup for the 1st game, especially considering his "top 3" status. Even if it wasn't earned.

I'd wager about the same; but realistically today probably bought him a couple more games regardless of the team's results.

Agreed. When Dubas bright in S.K. didn't he do it mid-season after his first year? I think the new GM might take things slow and wait til the summer before making a coaching change. But, like you said, I doubt J.C. will be there long term.
My opinion could be a little bit biased since we’re counting for the same team, but he seems like a very chill guy. We share a lot of opinions and even when we have two different point off views he always keeps the conversation respectful.
