I think so, not sure though. I don't think he's going to be as good as Quinn or Peterka though. Definitely could easily be thou. Good top 6 forward.

Holy look at the start to Elias Lindholm and Andrew Mangiapane’s seasons. Did they score all the goals so far for Calgary or what

Yea, their team is rolling. If they decide to sell at the TDL they are going to get a pretty price for their players. Especially Gaudreau who has 8 assists. The Sabres and Flames could definitely be good trade partners. Jesse on the SDPN podcast had a crazy trade idea...he was thinking Lindholm and Tkachuk for Eichel, so the sabres get the contract uncertainty and flames get injury uncertainty...

You wanna know a team that isn't rolling, Montreal, we desperately need someone to step up, lead the team, and the rest should follow

There’s no chance Calgary makes that trade. It would be Monahan + Zary/Pelletier + picks. They aren’t trading Lindholm or Tkachuk

That was an NHL22 trade lol, the Flames aren't trading one of those guys, let alone both. And we're not selling at the TDL unless we suddenly lose 90% of games between now and then, bringing in Tanev, Markstrom, Coleman, and Sutter are all-in moves, not rebuild moves.

edit: also contract uncertainty lol, lindholm is on one of the best contracts in the league and tkachuk is an rfa

he's not playing though, with the losses of Perry, Weber, Danault, Staal, etc and with Edmundson, Byron and Price out for some time we're looking directionless out there

Everyone who’s out was a very good leader especially Price and Weber. Tough to lose those guys

Yep, we desperately need Edmundson/Byron/Price to come back or Petry, Gallagher, Suzuki, Chiarot, Savard, Perreault, etc to step up. This team needs a leadership core and then after, the team should get more results

Imagine adding Shane Wright or Simon Nemec to this group lol. I’d be scared of Montreal

Nemec would be great, we don't have many RD's in the org and he'd help the team so much

Yeah that’s what I was thinking too. Petry is getting older and Josh Brook is a work in progress. Getting an elite RHD is huge

We also have Mailloux but he's a 2nd pair D at best and well he might never play in the NHL

Looking at our future, i'd ideally want 1 more good goalie, plenty of more Rd's, at LD were fine, more centers, at wing were also fine and obviously, top talent

1 elite RD and 1 elite centre and you’re set. Simon Nemec, Matthew Savoie or Shane Wright would be a good start

Not even sure if we need an elite center, Suzuki could fill that role and then Dvorak, Evans, Kapanen, Poehling, Kidney, Mysak and Farrell ( if we play them at center ) could help out

Quenneville should not be allowed behind the Panthers bench tonight. That will be a bad look for the NHL

Until he has his meeting with Bettman he should stay away from anything hockey.

His meeting with Bettman is tomorrow and he had a meeting with Florida's players today apparently, I'd be surprised if the players don't want Q out.

Even so, if the findings are true he should not be allowed to stay no matter how much the Panthers want to keep him. Cause it could hurt the NHL's reputation and sponsors could go mmm yeah were out sorry cant support a league who keeps a guy like this around. Which in the end could hurt the league financially.

Still early but with the seriousness of the situation and the reports. I feel for the good of the league he and Chevy should be removed.

brief reminder from your friendly neighborhood mod: as it says above the "Submit" button, "Verify your post complies with the forum rules" whenever you're writing posts. In particular, under the section "Removal of Posts":

"Posts that are sexist, racist, ethnic, gender related, homophobic, malicious, illegal, or in any way discriminatory or hurtful to anyone will not be tolerated. We have the authority to remove such posts immediately in our sole discretion. Such posts will receive 5 infraction points."

nobody's in trouble, but it always bears repeating whenever certain news events occur.

there's definitely a lot of evidence stacked against Quenneville at the moment (not to mention that he said previously that he only found out this summer, a claim that was clearly proven to be false).

Cheveldayoff doesn't have as many condemning quotes surrounding him, but it's also fair to wonder if he should be put on leave while this all shakes out.

Considering that everyone who was named in the report has to meet with Bettman before being eligible for a job in the league, it's fair to think Chevy and Q will be gone

I think Chevy also said this summer was the first he’d heard of it despite being in that meeting a decade ago as well, but yeah just the one blatant lie for him. Coach Q should for sure be gone, as he knew, prioritized the cup run, and wrote a recommendation for Aldrich afterwards.

To me its a matter of the good of the League. Keeping both these guys around could hurt them as mentioned above sponsors could start to pull out as why support a league who lets people like this stay.

Which could ironically force Bettman or their respected organizations (Panthers/Jets) to get rid of them sooner...

Public outcry will also be very negative as fans of the sport no matter what team they cheer for will not be happy about this and the league will be flooded with negative talk and backlash.

Will need to wait and see once both meetings are done. But lets be honest if nothing is done I got a feeling were gonna see a massive negative wave hit the NHL that could hurt them bad.
