Montreal needs his LTIR relief to be cap compliant, so not happening.

Makes absolutely no difference if Weber is on LTIR for Nashville or Montreal. Doesn't affect any teams cap. Why would Nashville want Weber's cap if he happens to deemed medically fit and plays again?
If you're talking the cap penalty Nashville will occur if Weber retires....not LTIR, makes no difference if Weber is a Predator or Hab. Nashville is "cap punished" for the front loaded of his contract.

That’s not how LTIR works. If the y trade him it is better for Montreal’s cap than having him on LTIR

This trade doesn’t make sense for Nashville. Trading a 5th round pick for a player to sit on LTIR on complicate your cap situation ? Nashville gets 0 value here

It actually does make a difference. Using LTIR relief pools lowers your accrued cap space limit and prevents you from accruing cap space as long as you’re over the cap. It also makes ELC recalls more difficult since you have to account for their potential performance bonuses as part of their cap hit. AND you’re paying a guy real dollars (even if his contract is mostly insured) to not even be on your team.

Huge L for Nashville here

Unless of course Weber returns in the playoff or next season then you got a fully healthy Shea Weber for basically free. Montreal is not trading Weber or his contract.

You're right about the bonuses. Some folks think Nashville gets cap relief from Weber's front loaded contract if he happens to be a Pred (they don't).
And really it is a big assumption that either Weber is going to retire, or be medically unfit and is on LTIR permanently.
You're right it's it huge L for Nashville if they acquire Weber. Just no benefit.

Yeah and then you have to cover is 7+ million dollar cap hit the next season. Just because Kucherov LTIR’d for a season once doesn’t mean it’s about to happen all the time
